Take care of my candle
To prevent fire and serious injury: Burn a candle in sight. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from drafts and vibrations. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never burn candles on or near combustible objects. Keep the wax free from matches, wick pads and flammable materials. Do not move the bougue while it is burning or the wax is hot.
Cut the wick to 1/4 inch before lighting it. The first combustion must last at least 2 hours, giving the candle time to melt a pool of wax on the edge of the container. This will prevent the candle from tunneling. Keep the candles free from all foreign matter, including matches and wick pads. Burn the candle only on a flat, fire-resistant surface. For optimal burn: Reduce soot by cutting the wick 1/4 inch and centering it each time the candle is lit. Candles should be left on for at least 2 to 3 hours each time they are burned. Do not put out a candle with a lid. To avoid damage, stop using the candle when 1/2 inch of wax remains.
